文章从梦想与现实的角度,对弗兰纳里·奥康纳小说《好人难寻》中的两个主人公老祖母与"不合时宜"进行了角色解读,展现了他们个人梦想与现实的冲突,进而反映了现代社会中梦想与现实的关系:梦想与现实如两根矗立的石柱,彼此对立,彼此凝望。梦想衬出了现实的可悲,现实映出了梦想的可叹。
This paper sets out to interpret the two characters: grandma and Misfit in Flannery O'Connor's 'A Good Man is Hard to Find' in terms of the dream and reality. Their individual dream and the society at large are conflict and thus we realize the relationship between dream and reality: they are like two standing pillars, facing each other. The dream shows the woe of reality; the reality reflects the illusion of the dream.
