回族舞蹈艺术经历了漫长而曲折的发展历程,出现了前所未有的振兴。21世纪的回族舞蹈艺术面临严峻的挑战,生存与发展的关键是跟上时代前进的步伐,树立现代意识,向人物性格的深层开掘,构建有地域特色的风格流派,创造具有时代特征、符合当代观众审美需求的作品,以多元化的格局,推动回族舞蹈艺术的发展与繁荣。

Dance of the Hui nationality presents an unprecedented vigorous development after going through a long, tortuous period. But it is still faced with a serious challenge in the 21^(st)century. In order to make it subsist and develop, what counts is to build up modern awareness to keep pace with the times, to further tap the personal characters, to form a variety of artistic styles and schools representing different regions and times, to produce works of art which can be keeping with the different aesthetic standard of audience of today, and to promote its development and prosperity on the basis of a multiform pattern of art.
