摘要
西方传教士在中国建立出版机构和参与官办出版事业,给中国带来了先进的印刷技术和出版理念,不自觉地培养了中国第一代出版家。近代民营出版业的崛起,标志着中国出版从外在设备到实质内容上的近代化,在沟通中西文化,推动新文化创造中起了重要作用。
The western missionary attended the publishing house built in China , which imported advanced printing machine and new publishing thought , and fostered unpreparedly the first publishers of China . The foundation of the private publication marked modernization of China publication , from external facility to substantive content . The important influence took place in exchanging cultures between China and West , propelling the form and foundation of modern new culture .
