摘要 In remote antiquity, members of the Yue people in the region south of the Five Ridges migrated westward by the water route of Xijiang-Yujiang-Yongjiang-Youjiang and settled in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. This led to the wide spread of the jades originally prevailing in the territory ofthe Yue people, such as "horned", crescent and square jue penannular ornaments, necked bracelets and mushroom-shaped fittings for sword butt-ends. With the development of amalgamation of ethnic groups, these types of jades (along with a few antler artifacts) became ornaments of the natives in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, including the Yelang, Dian, Qiongdu and Quting groups.
