论英汉习语对译中的形象呼应、错位与空缺

Image echoing,dislocation and black space in mutual translation of English and Chicese idioms

本文从文化差异的角度,对比英汉习语中形象的异同,分析产生形象呼应、形象错位和形象空缺的原因,指出习语中的形象对文化的传递起着比习语的含义更大的作用;对译时在不引起误解的情况下应尽量保留原形象,同时对不同情况提出了不同的处理方法。

This paper,based on cultural differences,compares the differences and similarties of the images in English and Chinese idioms,analyses the causes to the phenomena of image-echoing image dislocation,and black-space,and points ort that the images are more important than meaning in conveying cultural information and should be remained to the translation as possible as we can.The paper also puts up different methods for dealing with different siturations.
