Knowledge management is a new management mode. It is a sort of information management theory and method through scientifically managing knowledge resources to improve organization efficiency, response and innovation ability. This paper firstly introduces the definition of knowledge management, knowledge, knowledge resources, knowledge capital and the internal relation each other. It expounds the inevitability and benefit of adopting the management mode in design institute.
