摘要
本文提出学习自主并不是一个全有或全无的概念,它展现的是一个连续统一体。学习自主可以在包括课堂教学在内的各种环境下的培养。本文着重论述了怎样在中国大学英语教学中培养学生的学习自主性。大学英语教学应该有利于学生逐步实现从学习依赖到学习自主这一过渡。本文认为学习自主可以通过教学材料的设计与选择、课堂任务与活动的开展、教师角色的改变以及对学生的训练等来培养。
This paper proposes that learner autonomy is not an all-or-nothing concept but displays a continuum and that autonomy can be developed from different environments including classroom settings. The focus of this paper is on how to foster the development of learner autonomy in college English classes in China. College English teaching should facilitate learners to go through the transition from learner dependence to learner autonomy. It is demonstrated that learner autonomy can be fostered through design and selections of materials, class tasks and activities, role changes of teachers, learner training, etc.
