摘要
从单句和语篇两方面入手,讨论了英汉翻译理解过程所涉及的若干内容以及表达所遵循的原则,认为理解是翻译的前提和基础,不理解就不能正确表达;表达则是翻译的关键,是理解的具体化和深刻化。
Deals mainly with the two procedures of comprehension and expression in English-Chinese translation and things that should be paid attention to in both procedures. It holds that in English-Chinese translation, correct understanding is the prerequisite and foundation while faithful expression of the original meaning is the crux.
