Application of Agent Theory in Supervising Managers' Activities

适当的监督幅度对于委托代理关系的成功实现至关重要。通过数学模型描述委托代理关系 ,弄清被管理者的工作效率与管理者的监督费用之间的关系 ,并提出一个管理者应该努力寻求的最优监督幅度。

This paper introduces the primary concept of principal-agent theory, and illuminates the importance of proper supervising degree for principal-agent re;ationship with direct agent cost and indirect agent cost. Then, the paper discusses the relationship of efficiency and supervising cost of managers by using math model, and brings forward a furthest supervising degree which manager should seek. Finally, the paper introduces hte proper supervising degree based on enterprise itself characteristic in allusion to different types of enterprises.
