新诗的传统是一种文学传统自我生成的新的类型,汉语在近代所发生的变革,是新诗的传统生成中最富有活力的部分。从现代审美的角度来看,新诗的传统有三个特点:它具有一种结构上的空白;它是不断变化的,更多以一种自相矛盾的方式来自我表现;它具有多重性。

The tradition of new poems is a new type of the self-generation of literary tradition. The changes of Chinese that have taken place in modern times are the part in the tradition of new poems that is briskest in vitality. Examined from the angle of aesthetics, the tradition of new poems has 3 traits: it has a structural gap,it is ever changing and expressing itself more in an antinomic way, and it is of multiplicity.
