摘要
论述了元数据的定义及其在 Web GIS中的作用 ;同时 ,基于“辽宁省统计信息辅助决策支持系统”的开发实践 ,从数据存储、数据传输和数据展现三个角度探讨了元数据在 Web GIS的表示与实现 .
This paper discusses the definition of metadata and its role in WebGIS. Meanwhile, based on the project of 'Decision Support System of Statistical Information of LiaoNing Province', this paper discusses the representation and materialization of metadata in WebGIS in terms of data storage, data transmission and data display.
