A Survey of Harold Bloom’s Early Critical Theory of Romantic Poetry

本文通过对布鲁姆早期浪漫主义诗歌批评理论的研究,试图寻找它与新批评、宗教批评以及弗洛伊德理论的关系;探索他中后期理论于早期理论中的萌芽,以梳理出布鲁姆批评理论的发展脉络.文章认为,布鲁姆早期理论是他重建西方文学正典理论的重要组成部分.

This paper studies the early phase of Bloom's critical theories based on his criticism of romantic poetry, by means of attempting to establish links between his early theories and New Criticism, religious criticism and Freudian psychology. A survey of Bloom's early phase of criticism actually provides a clue to trace the whole career of his criticism. The article holds the opinion that Bloom's early criticism is an integral part of his endeavors to reestablish the western canons.
