《续夷坚志》虽为志怪小说 ,但弃其质而存其形 ,其语言渐趋通俗 ,叙事角度发生了变化 ,字里行间寄寓了美感 ,将白话小说与文言小说交融 ,显示了宋代到明清小说的转型 ,开启了文言小说创作的新风 ,在中国小说史乃至文学史上有着重要地位。

Gradually, the article’s language becomes popular .The angle of its narration has changed and aesthetic sensation can be found in the words. It merges colloquialism fiction with ancient fiction and expresses the modernization from Song Dynasty to Ming & Qing Dynasty, so a new atmosphere of ancient fiction creation has initiated. Not only in Chinese Novel History but also in Ancient Chinese Literature History, it has played an important role.
