The paper introduces the development process of polymer flooding technique from growing of nothing and from small to large in detail based on theory and practical examples and also expounds to form a complete set technique,main methods and main understandings during the polymer flooding study and application courses.It is believed that these techniques and understandings achieved during long practices should have a guiding sense for other company both at home and abroad to use the experiment in oilfield tertiary recovery.
