The agriculture developments in early Roman Empire include the following significant aspects: rapid increasing in large estates, development in the functions of provincial agriculture and adjustment of the ancient Italian agriculture. These developments result from the formation of the Roman Empire along the Mediterranean Sea. Since agriculture was the basis of the Roman Empire, these changes played a significant role in the history.
