On the Influence of Pop-Culture on Modern Design

对现代社会中衍生兴起的通俗文化的界定和对通俗文化的缘起和发展,可看出通俗文化对于现代设计尤其是五六十年代欧美波普设计的影响,包括电影、青年独立文化、流行音乐等与波普设计的关系。而设计活动的主体———设计师在通俗文化设计中所起的地位和作用也大大提升。

The popular culture has generated and prospered in the modern society. In this thesis, the author defines the concept of the popular culture and inquires into the genesis and development of popular culture which influenced the POP design movement of the '50s and '60s in the West. At the same time this article expounds the relationships between the movies, teenage culture, pop music and POP design as well. And finally introduces some modern designers who are active in the field of popular culture design.
