Study on Seed Stem of Reyan No.4 King Grass Living Through the Winter

热研4号王草种茎(蔸)的越冬试验研究结果表明,在冬季-1℃～2℃的地区,其自然越冬保种率为75%～95%,能安全保种。在-4℃的地区,自然越冬时冻死,不能自然越冬保种,但辅以人工措施保温,越冬保种率高达90%以上,给低温地区带来了希望。

The study of Reyan No.4 king grass's seed stem (root) that living through the winter indicated that the rate of natural seed keeping could reach 75%～95% in the -1℃～2℃ areas, and protected the seed safely, but it was frozen to death when the temperature was -4℃, unable to live through the winter and keep the seed naturally.However, if taking artificial measure to keep it warm, the rate could reach 90%, bringing hope to those lower temperature areas.
