试说嘉庆、道光年间的“花谱”热

A Preliminary Talk about the Fashion of “Manuals of Various ‘Flowers’” in the Periods of Jiaqing and Daoguang

与清代第二次戏曲高潮相关 ,嘉庆、道光年间的花谱之类的出版物(刊刻或手抄 )盛行。其写作已形成一定的格式 ,作者大多是久客京师、留连都下的外地人 ,且不乏曾因应试而进京的儒生。“花谱”在此时的性质 ,已具有初步的媒体广告的功能。

Being related with the second hightide of dramatist performance in the Qing dynasty, the publications (made by engraving or by handwriting) of “manuals of various ‘flowers’” were fashionable in the periods of Jiaqing and Daoguang. Their composition followed a certain format, and their authors were mostly outlanders lingering in the capital, including a considerable number of scholars who had took part in the Imperial Examinations. By that time, the “manuals of various‘flowers’” were primitively characterized by the function of classified advertisements in mass media.
