Culture and Nationalism in Southeast Asia

本文简略地探讨了东南亚的民族文化对该地区民族主义所起的作用和影响。除了外来民族的民族主义以外,东南亚最重要的民族主义有两种类型,即国家层次上的民族主义和地方或部族的民族主义。就文化而言,除了外来民族的文化以外,东南亚也有民族国家的文化与地方或部族的文化这两种重要类型。本文从两两之间的关系人手,探讨了四种不同的作用和影响模式,试图解释东南亚民族主义的文化基础,以利于对该地区民族问题的历史和现状的理解。

The nationalism in Southeast Asia can be divided into two parts, national or state nationalism and local or tribal nationalism. So does its culture. Beginning from the inter - relations of these four elements, this article tries to explain their different impact and the culture basis of nationalism in Southeast Asia for a better understanding of the nationality problem of this region.
