Taijiang's Sisterly Holiday

“姊妹节”被称为“最古老的东方情人节”。每年农历三月十五左右举行。节日主要 以青年女子为中心,展现了一幅母系社会向父系社会变迁中人类情爱生活的风俗画卷。

Every year around the agricultural calandar's fifteenth of March, young Miao girls living on the banks of Qingshui River dress up in splendid outfits, seize bamboo baskets stuffed with colored glutinous rice, and head out on excursions with young men. This holiday displays a rich tapestry of love within a matrilineal society.
