我国教育经济与管理专业学科建设发展速度喜人,质量也有所提高,但仍存在着一些不足。从本专业硕士学位论文来看,应用性和基础理论方面的成果较少;高等教育研究成果多而泛,基础教育研究成果少而虚;公办、城市高等教育研究成果多,民办、农村高等教育研究成果少;在研究方法上,定性研究多,定量研究少,跨学科研究更少。

The discipline construction of Economic and Management has made considerable progress, and to some extent the quality also has improved. Whereas there are defects in the dissertation in theoretical and practical research is insufficient; the research of higher education is suffused, but the basic education is scant; a majority of dissertations are related to state-run and city higher education instead of private and countryside higher education; in the research approach, more attention is paid in qualitative research but not quantitative research, even without the research of interdisciplinary.
