《樱桃园》叙说美丽、善良、正直的农村妇女金小仙为权势所迫而走向毁灭的悲剧故事。金小仙的悲剧显示出当代农村种种不良社会势力对传统的女性美的掠夺和扼杀,使我们看到在当代农村经济增长的背后种种不为人知的人生悲剧。
The Garden of Cherry is a tragic story in which a beautiful and virtuous countrywoman named Jin Xiao-xian makes for ruin under the pressure of the power and influence. It is revealed in the tragedy of Jin Xiao-xian that in the contemporary country the traditional female beauty is plundered and strangled by the bad social force. The story about Jin Xiao-xian shows us kinds of unknown tragedies covered by the economical development of the present country.
