An analysis of the effects of retailers horizontal mergence with cost reduction

对于由一个供应商和多个零售商组成的供应链 ,在确定型市场、零售商成本对称以及供应商具有零售商成本结构完全信息的情况下 ,考虑基于成本下降动因的零售商横向兼并效应问题 ,研究这种零售商横向兼并对参与兼并的零售商、未参与兼并的零售商、供应商以及供应链整体收益的影响 ,结果表明 ,无论零售商横向兼并导致运作成本如何变化 ,这种横向兼并不可能使供应链中所有成员都同时增加收益 ;但在一定的条件下 ,基于成本下降动因的企业横向兼并能使供应链中部分成员增加收益。

The effect of retailers horizontal mergence due to cost reduction is taken into consideration for a supply chain composed of a single supplier and multi-retailers. When the market is definite, retailers’ cost is symmetrical and suppliers are well-informed of retailers’ cost structure. An analysis is made on the retailers who take part in the mergence and those who do not, the suppliers and the whole influence of the supply chain. The result shows that the horizontal mergence between retailers is not likely to be profitable for all the members of the supply chain and only some of them can get profit.
