As a free operating system with its excellent performance, linux has a pplied and developped in many fields. This article introduces the reason ,backgr ound and status that linux applies in Home-Network Platform of Smart Home. It al so explains the job of kernel'reform for this application and the major solution of the Home-Network Platform.
