摘要
CDB( Content- based Data Base)是一种基于内容的多媒体数据库引擎 ,可以嵌入到通用的对象 -关系数据库中 ,使数据库系统综合支持对多媒体数据的常规和基于内容的查询 .本文首先阐述 CDB的体系结构 ,它把信息检索和数据检索结合到数据库中 ,支持多媒体数据库的基于内容的建立、操纵和维护 ;然后给出其层次型内容模型 ,描述多媒体内容的时空结构特征以及信息线索 ;最后描述用于 CDB的基于内容信息检索技术及其设计和实现的用户查询和操纵接口 ,包括示例查询、主观颜色查询、视频概要和浏览、扩展 SQL内容查询等 .
Content based database engine CDB is a novel prototype that can be embedded into general object relational DBMS to enable integration of conventional database query with content based retrieval capability for multimedia data type. In this paper, we first describe the engine architecture of CDB which combines information retrieval and data retrieval in object relational database system, supporting content based populating, manipulating and maintenances for multimedia database system; then an hierarchical content model HCM, which describing audio visual features, the content clues and spatio temporal characteristics for multimedia data, is proposed; Finally, some content based query interfaces and manipulation modes efficiently implemented in CDB, including QBE, query by subjectively dominated colors, SQL extension with content based retrieval, video summarization and browsing, are presented respectively.
