本文给出概率矩阵与状态矩阵“数学期望运算”的定义,并基于此种运算法则,用矩阵的方法讨论了离散系统中信道容量和率失真函数的具体计算,使运算过程更简明.

The calculation of channel capacity and information rate-distortion fun- ction are important subjects in the study of source coding,channel coding and information value.In information theory,these problems possess a very im- portant position and they are fundamental subjects too.Because their defini- tions and formulae for calculation are very complicated.To a certain fextent this paper has achieved a result in the simplification of solution of problems in discrete systems.Based on the calculation of matrix-expectation,the ma- trix of information state,and state-probability etc,the mode of the definitions and the formulae of the calculations are made clear and concise.As formula (3)appears in the matrix form,the applications are very convenient as in network analysis.
