Driver Cache: A New Cache to Improve Disk Performance

摘要 提出了驱动程序级缓存的缓存层次和伪收集的请求合并方式,尽可能合并请求。模拟试验表明DrCache对请求的合并效果好。 This paper presents a novel system cache hierarchy called DrCache, Driver Cache. The main idea of DrCache is to use a small memory, referred as DrCache, as cache at disk driver to unite small requests and improve the utilization of disk bandwidth. It presents the new cache hierarchy and false collective method to merging requests as possible.
