This paper focuses on a small-scaled distributed control system with a high performance to price ratio based on microcomputer. It lays the emphasis on the introduction of the software module and function and the networking method of the control system, which uses the PC/AT as the supervisory computer and the STD as the field controller. The control system has been used in an industrial process control field and has achieved satisfactory results.
