试论手术并发症的界定与“告知”——兼向《手术并发症学》作者进一言

A preliminary discussion on definition and notification of operative complications:a piece of advice to the authors of the book,Operative Complications

医务人员在行医过程中应依法履行告知义务。但由于医学的复杂性及医患角色的差异 ,加之目前尚无告知标准 ,常因此而发生医患纠纷。本文从胆囊切除术后发生脑梗死病人诉医方告知不周的实例 ,分析目前缺乏并发症界定标准造成的困境 ,提示我国卫生行政管理部门急需对并发症做出权威的界定 ,就此与《手术并发症学》作者一起探讨如何将手术并发症告知病人。

Medical professionals are obligated to perform notification to patients in accordance with law in clinical practice.However,because of the complexity,the different roles of health care providers and receivers in a medical case and lacking of notification standards at present,medical disputes are often initiated.The author of the paper analyzed the difficult position that lacks definition on the notification standards for operative complications,citing a example here regarding a case of cerebral infarction following cholecystectomy,in which the surgeon was charged of inconsiderate notification.This was aimed at indicating that it is urgent for administrative department in charge of health in China to give an authorized definition of operative complications.The author would also like to discuss with the authors of the book how to perform notification about operative complications to patients.
