补肾中药预防老年男性骨质丢失:1年疗效随访(英文)

Prevention action of Chinese herbs for tonifying kidney on bone loss in senile males: 1 year follow-up

背景补肾中药防治女性绝经后骨质疏松症已获肯定疗效,而其预防男性骨质疏松作用的报道较少。目的研究补肾中药预防男性骨质疏松的作用。设计随机对照的研究。地点和对象44例武汉市经本院门诊或病房体检后有骨密度减少症状的老年男性受试者被分为中药组和对照组。干预采用随机的方法将44例授试者分为中药组和对照组进行研究。中药组服用补肾中药密骨片和钙剂,对照组只用钙剂,为期1年。主要观察指标在研究开始和结束时检测受试者腰椎和股骨上端骨密度,以及血清骨钙素(s-BGP)和尿羟脯氨酸与肌肝(Hop/Cr)比值。结果经过12个月用药后,中药组腰椎骨密度略有上升[治疗前为(0.841±0.022),治疗后为(0.871±0.019)g/cm2,P>0.05];而股骨颈、Ward`s三角区和股骨粗隆骨密度则显著上升[治疗前分别为(0.716±0.031),(0.509±0.014),(0.597±0.013)g/cm2;治疗后分别为(0.766±0.027),(0.552±0.018),(0.656±0.016)g/cm2,t=8.92,14.93,22.14,P<0.05]。对照组各处骨密度均明显下降。对照组s-BGP和Hop/Cr比值均上升,而中药组则无显著变化。结论补肾中药密骨片可通过抑制骨转换而防止老年男性骨质丢失。

BACKGROUND:The therapeutic effects of Chinese herbs for tonifying kidney on the prevention and treatment of post menopausal osteoporosis have been determined, but there is few report on the action of these on the prevention against male osteoporosis.OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Chinese herbs for tonigying kidney on the prevention against male osteoporosis.DESIGN:Randomized controlled trial.SETTING and PARTICIPANTS:A total of 44 senile males,with the symptoms of the declined bone density diagnosed by the physical check in the clinic or ward in the hospital in Wuhan city,were selected as the receptors and divided into the Chinese herb group and control group.INTERVENTIONS:The Chinese herb group and control group were divided at random in the research.In the Chinese herb group,both migupian and calcium were applied,but in the control,only calcium applied,lasting for 1 year.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:At the beginning and the end of the research, the bone mineral density(BMD) of the lumbar vertebrae and the upper femur were measured,as well as s BGP and Hop/Cr.RESULTS:After 12 month medicine application,BMD of the lumbar vertebrae in the Chinese herb group was slightly increased[(0.841±0.022 )g/cm2 before the treatment,(0.871±0.019)g/cm2 after the treatment,P >0.05];BMD of the femoral neck,Ward's triangular part and the femoral trochanter were significantly increased[(0.716±0.031),(0.509±0.014),(0.597±0.013)g/cm2 successively before the treatment;(0.766±0.027),(0.552±0.018),(0.656±0.016)g/cm2 successively after the treatment,t=8.92,14.93,22.14,P< 0.05].In the control,BMD was remarkably decreased in every part.But s BGP and Hop/Cr in the control were increased,and no significant change in the Chinese herb group.CONCLUSION:Migupian can prevent bone loss in senile male by inhibiting bone transformation.
