军政委员会是中国共产党创设的党政军三位一体的领导组织形式。土地革命战争后期 ,它创设于远离中央领导且独立开辟新苏区的红军主力部队中 ;抗日战争时期 ,是党在人民军队中的最高领导组织机构 ,并且发展成为党领导抗日根据地党政军全面工作的最高领导机关 ;解放战争后期和建国初期 ,军政委员会又被作为人民政府成立之前的过渡机构 。

The Military and Political Committee was the leadership organization form established by the CPC and characterized by the trinity of the Party,the Government and the Army.In the late period of the Agrarian Revolutionary War it was established in the main force of the Red Army which was far away from the leadership of the Central Government and set up new Russian areas independently.During the anti_Japanese War it was the Party's supreme leading and organizing organ in the People's Army and developed into the Party's supreme leading body that led the over_all work of the Party,the Government and the Army in the anti_Japanese base areas.In the late period of the Liberation War and the early period of New China the Military and Political Committe was the transitional organ before the founding of the People's Government.In addition,it was the organizing form of local state power characterized by united front.
