衔接-连贯属于翻译的本质属性范畴,因为它涉及到形式-意义关系的根本问题.翻译实质上就是源语语篇和译语语篇之间衔接-连贯的映现.两种语篇之间的映现所形成的相关因素的对应关系决定了翻译的优劣,因此译者应追求两种语篇之间最大程度的映现.衔接-连贯是翻译动态体系中变量中的衡量.本文通过<关雎>六个译本的个案分析,试图揭示衔接-连贯在翻译中的重要作用,它可以作为指导翻译活动和评价翻译质量的指导原则.

Cohesion coherence falls in the categories of essentials rather than peripherals in translation because of its involvement with the fundamental problem of form meaning relationship. Translation is in essence the mapping of cohesion coherence between the source text and the target text. The correspondence of the relevant factors determines the quality of the work. Therefore, a translator should strive for maximum mapping of cohesion coherence, which can be regarded as the invariant of variants in the dynamics of translation. Through case analysis of 6 translations of Guanju I attempt to show that the mapping of cohesion coherence can be a governing principle, whereby to guide translation as a process and evaluate translation as a product.
