On William Faulkner's Style of Re-narration

反复叙事是福克纳小说独创的一种艺术手法。它与神话方法、多角度叙述、意识流手法既有联系又有区别,具有独立的艺术存在价值。反复叙事手法的形成主要是受到了福音书的影响,福克纳创造并使用这一手法是为了表达他对美国南方历史和现实的思考认识,强调、突出他对美国南方爱恨交织的深厚感情。

Re-narration is an artistic style created by William Faulkner. It is connected with and different from mythological style, multi-angle narration, and/or stream of consciousness simultaneously. This style has its own unique artistic value. The creation of the re-narration was much influenced by Evangel. William Faulkner employed this style in his works to show his understanding about the South's history and reality. And also, his mixed feeling toward the South was revealed with this style.
