English teaching should be characteristic of scientificity, humanity, nationality and independency. It should reflect the spirits of time and the development of science. Civilization exchanges and conflicts coexist, while collisions and combinations are emerging simultaneously, which is the high multi integrity stage of world cultural exchanges. Such integrity of Chinese and foreign cultures will enhance students' initiative and motivation and the promotion of cultural level will cultivate students' English competence and cross cultural exchange ability. Diversity and integrity construct the comprehensive characteristics of our English teaching in the new century. Higher requirements put up a new challenge to the English teachers in the universities.
