The 'students-centered and subject-focused teaching pattern' takes students as the main body of English teaching.By this pattern, each teaching unit has one subject, around which language material is chosen, teaching activities are arranged and teaching style is designed.It can meet students' various requirements and develop their language perception,communicative competence and comprehensive qualities. This teaching pattern, which has broken the traditional foreign language teaching pattern in China,is proved to be an effective way to promote the reform in English teaching.
