Collocation is one of the important points in English teaching. It is also a topic of general interest in linguistic research. In our research we find that learners tend to feel confused about the verbs usage in collocations. Verbs' collocability and negative transfer of Chinese are the main causes for the collocation mistakes. In accordance with the research result, we put forward some related suggestions.
