摘要
本文对平板非线性波导中TM极化波的传播进行理论探讨,并利用力学模拟方法,详尽地分析了TM极化波在平板非线性波导中所有可能的不同形态。作者编制了多个专用的微机计算和作图程序,把每一种形态预期出现的物理学参量空间划分开来,从而得出了有潜在利用价值的结果。有迹象表明,多层非线性介质的不同组合可能会呈现十分丰富多采的光学特性。木文所采用的思路和方法有可能为解决多层介质的内禀非线性光学问题提供一种理论处理途径。
Fully nonlinear problems are notoriously difficult to solve. Except with some highly exceptional cases, there is no systematic approach available, and each problem must be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. In the present paper, the author made use of an exact method for TM mode nonlinear electromagnetic guided wave propagating in a finite-thickness planar layer. By means of mechanical analogies, the author analyzed exhaustively all the different possible behaviors aad divided up the physical parameter space into regions where each of these behaviors were expected to occur. The results are quite interesting and have potential of discovering entirely new useful optical phenomena.
