New Concept of Security, Interest Community and Strategic Thoroughfare:an Explanation to China's Security Interest

中国能否顺利实现崛起,端视其国家安全能否得到维护,国家战略利益能否得以拓展。中国国际战略的基本布局,应以维护和拓展国家利益为核心,在新安全观的理念指导下,创立和发展国际利害共同体,进一步促进中国融入国际社会,同时下决心维护陆地和海洋利益,确保战略通道的畅通并积极扩展战略通道。

To safeguard national security and expand national strategic interests are key to China's smooth rise. Accordingly, the overall arrangements of China's international strategy should be centered on the defense and expansion of China's national strategic interests. Under the guideline of 'The New Concept of Security', we should set up and develop international interest community with other countries, thus to accelerate China's integration with the international society; we should be determined to safeguard land & sea interests, to defend and expand China's strategic thoroughfares.
