Optical Passive Devices of the Optical Fiber Communication

光无源器件与光有源器件一样也是非常重要的不可缺少的,而且其种类繁多性能各异。关于光无源器件的系统理论论述,至今报导的很少。本文就其光无源器件的概念和最重要类型的器件工作原理进行了较详细的阐述。所阐述的光无源器件包括有:光纤活动连接器、光耦合器、光开关、光分路-耦合器、光复用器、光隔离器以及光衰减器等。

Like active optical devices,the passive optical devices are very important and essential parts for optical communications,which have different varieties and functions.However,the systematic theory of the passive optical devices are rarely reported.In this paper on concept of the passive optical devices and work principle of the devices was discussed in detail,with a glance to passive optical devices including optical fiber active connector,optical coupler,optical switch,optical shunt-coupler,optical multiplexer,optical insulator,and optical power attenuator
