A microwave/optical synergistic model and its applications in tropical forest canopies

摘要 建立了一个微波 /光学合成散射模型来模拟森林植被层各组分的后向散射 ,模拟的后向散射系数与JERS 1SAR和VNIR遥感测量数据的相关系数 (R2 )为 0 .81,均方根误差为 0 .96dB ,大部分余差都分布在± 1dB之间。结果表明 。 In this study, a microwave/optical synergistic scattering model is developed to simulate backscattering from all components of forest canopy. The model is validated with JERS-1 SAR and VNIR data and ground biophysical measurements in northern Thailand. Simulation of backscattering coefficient is highly correlated with JERS-1 SAR data with R 2=0.81. The root-mean-square error (RMSE) of the model is 0.96dB and most of the residuals are within ±1 dB. Our results indicate that this approach is promising in improving biomass retrieval using both SAR and optical data.
