On the Building of Socialist Democracy

民主因国家性质和民族特点不同而异,社会主义民主作为一种国家制度的民主,是历史上最高类型的民主,没有民主,就没有社会主义,建设高度的社会主义民主,是一个长期艰巨的任务,它要求紧紧围绕国体和政体两方面,结合我国社会主义初级阶段的实际,从政治体制、党的领导、干部人事制度、法制建设、精神文明等方面全面展开。

Democracy varies with national characteristics and ethnic features.As the democracy of state system,socialist democracy is the highest in history.There is no socialism without democracy.So building the socialist democracy of high degree is a long and arduous task,which centers on two aspects:state system and government system.It should be carried out in the light of the realities of the primary stage of socialism and through political system,the Party' s leadership,personnel system,legislation building and spiritual civilization and so on.
