This article introduces a general idea and method to realize parameterized parts design on the secondary development of Pro/ENGINEER with the application of ODBC.According to a developing example,a short cut is told in detail to associate ODBC with Pro/TOOLKIT,language of the secondary development of Pro/E Wildfire,by using Microsoft Foundation Class in VC++.In addition,it summarizes an effective approach for special parameterized design based on Pro/E.
