Doctor-patient communication takes important role in medical encounters. Information exchange is a main content in doctor-patient communication, and the main goal of information exchange is mutual understanding.To describe some factors that have impact on the patient comprehension of information in doctor-patient communication. These factors include: information frames, emotional factors, and communicative behavior. Improving the patient comprehension of information will make communication more effective, and then contributes to establishing cooperative doctor-patient relationship.
