通过对高职院校工科学生的特点、专业特点及其对英语需求的分析,提出其英语教学既应重视基础又应重视专业英语的教学,并从工科学生的英语教学目标、教学方法、专业英语教学三方面进行了具体的阐述。

By analysis of the characteristics and specialty features of engineering students of higher vocational institutes and demands for English, this paper points out that the English teaching should lay emphasis on the basic English teaching as well as on the teaching of professional English. It discusses in detail the English teaching objective, the teaching method and professional English teaching of the engineering students.
