庐隐小说的审美特征主要体现在三个方面:人物形象的情感性;题材内容的写实性;小说体式的私秘性。庐隐所塑造的大都是"伤感"型的人物形象,对爱情的追求与失意,对婚姻的恐惧与逃离,构成了女性形象的共同特征。庐隐小说的题材内容带有明显的"自叙传"性质,她的小说平实、自然、真实,拉近了作家与读者的距离。在小说体式上,她善于运用书信、日记等文体,使小说颇具"私人性"和神秘性。给读者造成一种"窥探隐私"的艺术想象氛围和心理阅读空间。

The Aesthetic features of Lu Yin' s novels are as follows: sensibility of character images; realistic writing of subject matters; and privateness of novels' styles. Lu Yin always shapes sensible-typed images of various characters, depicting their pursuit and disappointment of love affairs, their fear of and escape from marriages, which constitutes the common features of women. Her subject matters display obvious 'self-narration'. Her novels are plain, natural and real, shortening the distance between the author and the reader. In the style, she excels in making her novels 'private' and mysterious by using such types of writing as letters and dairies. Her novels create an atmosphere for artistic imagination and a psychological reading space in 'peering at the privacy'.
