The subject intermediary in institutions of higher learning is a new moral education theory which is comparative to the traditional passive intermediary, it emphasizes that the student is the pricinpal part during the course of moral education and its aim is to cultivate the subject property of students. Its premise is based on the full play of the subject property between teachers and students, the democratic equal relationship as the guarantee, the human being′s practical need as its motivation and the specific activities as its intermediary.
