A Research on Diversified Behavior of Korean Family - controlled Chaebols

韩国几乎所有的大型企业集团都属于家族性商社,他们对韩国经济具有非常深远的影响力。然而部 分商社在1997年的金融危机过程中倒闭,原因有很多方面,其中的一个原因就是过度多元化。

Almost all of the Korean business groups are family - controlled chaebols . They have a far - reaching influence on the Korean economy. But some chaebols went bankrupt during the Asian financial crisis in 1997. One of the causes to the failure is excessive diversification. This paper analyzes the basic situation and the driving factors of the diversification of the Korean chaebols, and anatomizes the influence of the diversification behavior on the firm value.
