CORRELATION OF SIALYL LEWIS-X AND CD44v6 GENE EXPRESSION WITH METASTASIS AND PROGNOSIS IN GASTRIC CARCINOMA

目的探讨唾液酸化的Lewis X抗原 (sialylLewis X ,SLeX)和CD4 4v6基因蛋白表达与胃癌临床病理学行为和患者预后的关系。方法应用高敏感性的催化信号放大免疫组织化学技术 ,对 1 7例早期胃癌和 78例进展期胃癌组织进行SLeX抗原和CD4 4v6蛋白检测 ,并结合肿瘤的病理学行为和临床随访资料进行分析。结果在胃癌中 ,SLeX和CD4 4v6表达阳性率分别为 86 .3%和 82 .1 %。SLeX和CD4 4v6表达阳性率在进展期胃癌明显高于早期胃癌 (P <0 .0 5 ) ;SLeX和CD4 4v6表达水平具有一致性 ,均与胃癌浆膜浸润 ,淋巴结转移和患者预后密切相关 (P <0 .0 5 )。结论SLeX和CD4 4v6表达与胃癌转移和患者生存期密切相关 ,检测SLeX和CD4

ObjectiveTo study the expression of cell adhesion molecular sialyl Lewis X(SLeX) antigen and CD44v6 gene protein in gastric carcinoma and their relationship with the pathological behavior and prognosis.MethodsHigh sensitive catalyzed signal amplification(CSA) immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of SLeX antigen and CD44v6 protein in 17 cases of early stage gastric carcinoma and 78 cases of developing stage gastric carcinoma. Pathological behavior and clinical follow up survey were combined for the analysis.ResultsThe positive expression rates of SLeX antigen and CD44v6 protein in gastric carcinoma were 86.3 % and 82.1 % ,respectively.The positive expressions of SLeX antigen and CD44v6 protein in developing stage gastric carcinoma were obviously higher than those in early stage gastric carcinoma(P< 0.05 ).The expression of SLeX antigen was consistent with that of CD44v6 protein and both of them were positively correlated with serosa infiltration, lymph node metastasis and the prognosis of patients(P< 0.05 ).ConclusionThese data showed the expressions of SLeX antigen and CD44v6 protein were closely related to the potential of metastasis and survival rate in gastric carcinoma.SLeX antigen and CD44v6 protein may be prognostic indicators in gastric carcinoma.
