论中介语的积极作用

On the positive functions of interlanguage

从中介语的研究背景来看,各个流派的一个共同的特点就是将中介语看成是一种临时的语言体系,而这种体系则表现为一种不被接受的语言表达形式,因而被认为是一种"错误"的言语输出,并应采取一定的手段尽量降低中介语程度。总之,所强调的是中介语的消极作用。而本文则通过对中介语发生过程的研究,认为传统上把中介语研究的目的定位在对中介语的排除上是不可取的;事实上,中介语是借助母语来形成心理词汇的意念表征,具有辅助目的语使用的作用,无法也无须绝对根除。这一认识将为中介语的研究展开了一个新的视角。

The research background of interlanguage shows that different research approaches hold that interlanguage is regarded as a temporary language system and unacceptable. Thus interlanguage is a 'wrong' parole output and should be avoided to the best of the abilities. In a word, what is focused on in this sense is the negative functions of interlanguage.However,by the study of interlanguage-occurring process,this paper holds the views:it is not reasonable that the traditional study of interlanguage is focused on the elimination of interlanguage;in fact,interlanguage is the ideational representation of mental lexicon by means of native language and can function as an aid to the application of target language;therefore,it is impossible and unneceaaary to eliminate interlanguage absolutely.This realization reveals a new visual angle of studying interlanguage.
