"钱"、"币"最早作为货币名称同时出现在《国语(下)》。"钱币"一词最早出现于战国中晚期的《管子·轻重戊》,较《汉书食货志》之成说早约400年。
As the name of the currency, the words 'Qian' and 'Bi' first appeared simultaneously in the second volume of the book Guoyv. The Chinese characters '钱币' ( Qianbi, meaning currency) first appeared in the book Guanzi Qingzhongwu written in the late period of War State Dynasty, 400 years earlier than those appearing in the book Hanshu Shihuozhi.
